Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Sofie is a little too young for sweets or trick and treating but you know I had to get her in a costume for some pics!
Here are a few from our 10 minute session this morning!

Oh- the costume prop goes to Miss Holly Pryor! She got this for her little girl a couple of years ago and let us borrow it this year. I like the special made headband the best!

Sofie in her room- Austin baby photography

We just finished painting the dresser for Sofie’s room. That was a learning experience! haha! If you don’t know anything about staining furniture- please get some help before you get going! It is a whole different mess than painting!

We put some fun bright stuff on her walls and the yellow curtains my mom made finish off the room. We wanted her room to be super sunny and bright- I hope she likes it!

Sofie | austin newborn photography

Hi!
So you may realize that I have not been able to resist taking photos of my little baby. She is just so fun to photograph! Here are a few photos from the last few days. Sofie is 10 days old and she is getting to be much more alert and staying awake more often now. I love that- because this means that I get to play with her more often!

sof1 Before I managed to cut her nails- she loves eating her hands so we had to put gloves on her so she would not scratch up her little face.

My mom made the little head- band! She’s also made Sofie several hats and outfits. The girl is set for this winter!

sof9 Here is Grandma and Grandpa! They came all the way from Sweden to be here for Sofie’s arrival.

sof8 She also had her other grandma and grandpa going gaga over her. I think Aunt Tammy may have a soft spot for the little one as well! : )

sof2 It’s lovely that Sean is so comfy with the camera- I love that I can have some photos with Sofie as well.

sof11 One thing that both Sean and Sofie love is taking naps! And as you can see Sofie loves to nap with her daddy a lot!

Sofie is here!

July 5, 2009 – 4:00 pm

Hi Everyone!
I am officially on maternity leave.
Sofie arrived in the very early afternoon of July 1st- 4 days early! She took us all by surprise and the delivery was intense and fast-only took a few hours. It’s like once she made up her mind that it was the right time- she did not let anything get in her way!!

We’re home and healthy but trying to get used to a whole new routine. Taking care of a baby is a lot of work- but I find that I love it more than anything I’ve ever done!

I will be checking my email periodically and will answer as soon as I can. If you have any orders pending or waiting for photos, I really appropriate your patience. I will get back to editing as soon as I get my new routine established and recover a little.

Please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

In the meanwhile I will post a few photos here and there and keep you updated with what’s going on with our new family.

Andrea + Brian | austin maternity photography

ok- time to post some more maternity photos! This time I was behind the camera!
Meet the absolutely stunning mama-to-be Andrea and the super excited dad-to-be, Brian. These guys called me up and they said they wanted something a little different for their maternity photos. Well- as it turns out we are cut from the same cloth since our ideas just worked out together so well.

I had so much fun working with amazing couple. I’ll tell you a little secret- the little baby will be here any day now and I just can’t wait to hear the good news.
