Carolyn + Jim | Bertram engagement photography

Carolyn and Jim live in America’s playground- Las Vegas!  Jim is originally from central TX and this cute couple plan on getting married and build a house in Bertram, TX as early as this coming May.

I drove out to Bertram to meet them for the first time and figured- hey we might as well shoot some photos!  I got to meet the family and they showed around their property and the cute little town.  It was so nice to get out of the city and explore a new landscape while shooting.
It was awesome!

Thanks Carolyn and Jim for having me over and for a great session!  : )

This old barn was on the property- what a gem!
I’m always looking for spots like this but old barns are usually on people’s property and I can’t get to them.   Can you imagine how excited I was when I saw this?!!

They will get married right under this old and very cool tree!

Hello!  Work it!

Ann + Kyle | downtown engagement photography

When I first met Ann and Kyle- I was really really hoping that they would decide to go with me.  I just love Ann’s look and they made such a cute couple.  Plus, they were super friendly!   Lucky for me- they did decided to let me shoot their wedding.  yeay!

The first stop was the engagement session.

These two were excited about the shoot, but like almost every couple, had no idea what to do in front of the camera.  And- almost like every couple, they ended up doing great!  I always say- have fun and I’ll take care of the rest! haha!

They even scouted a really cool location for the shoot- a total plus!   Ann and Kyle were open to so many idea and that is the best when it comes to shooting an engagement session.  I makes me look at what’s around us a little differently and that usually makes for some really cool shots.

Thanks you two for a rocking session!

This is the reason why I love shooting in the afternoon!

Seriously- Ann’s got the most toned legs!  What’s your secret woman?!!

This is probbaly my favourit shot of the day!

Great spot!  Thanks guys for finding it!

Abbey + Travis | Dallas wedding photography

Oh how I missed my blog!
I am taking a day off after Christmas and I thought what better time to update the blog!  I’m so excited- not only because I get to play on the blog, but I get to show a very cool wedding with one of the coolest couples ever!

You might remember Abbey and Travis’ preview- the amazing roof top ceremony in Dallas.  And if you’ve ever met with me for your wedding, you’ll recognize them from one of my sample albums.  Their engagement session was so fun that I had to make a sample album out of it!

So here we go!

Here are some of my favs from the big day.

Abbey and the girls got ready at the beautiful hotel ZaZa.  This place is so cool- everywhere you look is perfect for a photo session.  The room the girls got ready in was one of the themed rooms- old Hollywood. That was so perfect with Abbey’s gown and the overall look of the wedding.

oh my- I bet Travis likes these photos!

After Abbey was done getting ready, we took a few minutes to get some portraits shots around the hotel.

Abbey is totally smashing!  Here is a little tidbit about the bride.  She is the co-founder of Regalia .  If you are looking for some great fashion ideas that fits your style Regalia is it!  Abbey and Ann (who is a former bride of mine) have amazing taste and do it right!  Check out their website!
Not too long ago- while at NY fashion week, one of the models didn’t show on the day of the big show. The designer tapped Abbey on the shoulder and abbey rocked the runway just like she’s done it all her life! Cool huh?!!

Over at the loft- where the famous roof top was- the guys were getting ready!  I totally looove their choice of shoes!

How cool does the ring bearer look?!!!

And of course- the most handsome one of the guys- Travis!

The sunset ceremony was so beautiful! And- again- what a location!

On to the reception!
The bridal party had a very entertaining entrance! Everyone was into it!  Check out these dance moves!

A very Yummy Cake!

Congrats Abbey and Travis!  Thanks for letting me take part in your beautiful day.  I had such an amazing time!  : )

Where the heck am I?

I got this email from my brother today!

“Hey
I just wanted to inform you as a frequent visitor to your blog, that I am not a satisfied blog-reader.
The frequency of updates are very low.
Yours sincerely,
Highly aggravated blog-reader.”

HAHA!   I know he’s just yanking my chain- he usually does- but he is right!   I have neglected the blog for a few and I’m so sad about that- really, I am!

Blogging and showing off my fabulous clients is one of my favorite things.

I think I have a good excuse!
I am working on so many weddings, engagements, holiday portrait session and Christmas orders right now that I have had zero time to blog.
I have so many cool photos to show you- seriously!  I promise, I will be back as soon as I have tackled the last couple of deadlines.

Love,

Sherry

ps- Thanks for the heads-up bro!  haha!
