Brittany + Tony | South Congress engagement photography

Ok- please take a minute and have a look at the colors in these photos!  Brittany and Tony did such a amazing job when picking out what to wear to the shoot!  I was trilled when I saw them walking towards me!

Brittany is from Austin while Tony is from San Antonio, so when Britt saw the TX map on the ground she was like- can we do something with that?
I have to say that this “we’re on the ground” shot is the first one I have shot with a real purpose!  I mean, I think that’s a cute pose but it’s so cool to actually be able give it such a importance.
Here are a few of my favorite from the shoot- thank you guys for a fun afternoon!  : )

So cute!  And FYI- I set up the wind so it would blow Brittany’s hair just the way I wanted it!

Cool tree!  I love this hill!

Favorite shot from the shoot!

New look!

Hi!

As you might have noticed my website and blog have a brand new look.  I am totally in love with my new logo and I have a very talented lady to thank for it.

Rachel Titsworth is the fabulous graphic designer who put this whole look together.  Thanks Rachel!  : )
She is local to ATX and I’m sure would love to hear from you if you need some graphics work done.

See ya,
Sherry

Veronica, Rodrigo and the dogs!

When Veronica said… meet us at the dog-park I was a little skeptic!  But, I have been surprised by “different” location before so I thought- sure!
She was so right on- the place is sooo pretty!
The water front was unbelieved with the trees changing color- not to mention an amazing old tree with roots growing above the ground.

Now, Veronica and Rodrigo weren’t too bad looking either! haha!  Plus, they had their cute puppies with them.  What a great shoot this turned out to be!  These guys are naturals infront of the camera and I really enjoyed getting to know them.

Here are a few of my favs from the session.

Seriously- where do you see colors like that in central TX?  Apparently at the dog- park! haha!

HOT shoes!  I had to get some shots that showed them off!  This one is for you Vee!

The best valentine gift!

I have some exciting news to share!
I have a new studio that I am sharing with two other amazing photographers.  Check us out here!

I find myself completely inspired by the new space, all the cool vintage furniture we got and all the love in the air with the approaching Valentine’s Day!
So what does a photographer to do?  Well, she sets up romantic, fun and sexy photo shoots in her brand new studio!

If you’re still wondering what to give your man this year for Valentine’s Day, come hang out with me for an hour and I will give you photos that will knock his socks off!
Give me a call to book your session today!

Ashley and david | Austin Senior photography

Right before the holidays I got to go hang out with two super cool, creative and fun seniors.
Meet Ashley and David!   I had so much fun with these guys!  They even had a camera with them and shot some behind the scenes stuff!   Hey- David, I want to see the footage you shot!  : )

Here is a little preview but I will post more as I catch up with the blog.

Melissa + Weston | san antonio wedding photography

It’s always fun to get to shoot at a new location- specially when you are working with a couple you like and you know are so good in front of the camera.  Check out their engagements and Melissa’s bridals.
Oh I have to mention here that the fabulous Katie Astoria did the makeup for Melissa on her wedding day and her bridals.
Melissa and Weston got married at Granberry Hills in San Antonio.  It was a beautiful day and we had the best possible spot and light for the photos after the ceremony.
The reception was so fun and Weston’s buddies played a couple of tricks on the groom.  One involved the passing of a football followed by a sack!  I have a feeling these guys goof around like that all the time!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the big day.

This is why having a second shooter is so important at a wedding- specially during the ceremony. The photo from the side showing Melissa’s face is my shot. The one taken from the back showing Weston’s face is courtesy of my second shooter James Dvorscak Photography.  I love this combo!

This is the great light I was telling you about.  What a pretty sunset!

This two are my favs of the bride and groom!

And the cutest bridemaids around!

I got some really neat ring shots at this wedding!  Being out of daylight I reached for the flash!

As it got dark outside, we stepped out for a few night shots.

And finally- a few fun moments from the reception!

Someone, please cut these kids a piece of cake already! haha!

Thank you Melissa and Weston for letting me be part of your lives this past year. I wish you the best of everything!  Sherry : )
